Van Wilder: The Rise of Taj
If you’re a fan of gross out humour, in the great tradition of the original Van Wilder: Party Liaison, American Pie and Road Trip, then you’re in for a treat with the hilarious Van Wilder: The Rise of Taj, in which a new hero is erected! Set for rental release by Momentum Pictures on 10 September 2007 and retail release on 24 September 2007, this Van Wilder riot introduces you to the dubious delights of England’s prestigious Camden University.
Van Wilder: The Rise of Taj follows the fortunes of Taj Mahal Badalandabad (Kal Penn), a sidekick of the Van’s, who sets out to further his studies across the Atlantic. Hoping to join the elite Fox and Hounds fraternal guild, Taj meets the organisation’s elitist leader, Pip Everett, The Earl of Grey (Daniel Percival), but soon realises what a mistake he has made when he’s made to feel a total misfit. Instead, he finds out he’ll have to serve as a teaching and resident assistant at the “barn”, a rundown building housing a number of similar outcasts.
Together, however, they might just learn a thing or two about themselves as they take on the school’s priggish authority figures, as well as the elitist fraternity, and show them how to really party.
