Title:
Jack Dee DVD
Multi-award-winning comedian Jack Dee returns with the release of a brand new stand-up DVD “Jack Dee – Live Again” featuring over 100 minutes of live comedy and fresh, new material.
Filmed earlier this year in front of a 3500-strong audience at London’s Hammersmith Apollo, this is your chance to enjoy the final performance of Jack’s 100-date back-to-back, sell-out tour on which he played to over 150,000 people in the UK and Ireland alone.
Sharp, smart and ready to rant, the king of deadpan takes to the stage and delivers his most cutting material to date. And as usual little escapes Jack's scathing tongue, as he launches blistering attacks on Directory Enquiries, dentists, B & Q and The Antiques Roadshow. Also expect a hilarious insight into Jack's drinking habits, his disastrous attempts to find new hobbies, and a comedic tour-de-force about his children’s nursery school.
There’s no denying that Jack likes to get the audience involved – whether dishing out offensive putdowns, or engaging in rapport with them. He winds the evening up by reading out wisecracks that have been sent to him during the show via text message… but, unfortunately for Jack, he soon discovers he’s the butt of most of the jokes.
Over the years, Jack’s genius deadpan delivery has established him as the nation’s favourite stand-up, and his new DVD showcases Jack at his finest. After an absence of three years, Jack hit the road again this year with a brand new show, and his primetime series ‘Jack Dee Live at the Apollo’ (which is currently airing on BBC ONE - Mondays at 10.35pm) has also met with great ratings and critical acclaim.
Jack has had an amazing and varied career. He has starred in TV dramas, trodden the West End boards, but ‘Jack Dee – Live Again’ sees him doing what he loves best - stand-up. He has won the prestigious Best Stand-Up Comedian award at the British Comedy Awards, which added to the many awards that he had earned over the previous half a decade. His impressive list of accolades to date includes three British Comedy Awards, including ‘Top TV Personality’ and ‘Best Stage Newcomer’.
